The Bravo series was developed with the help of the U.S. Marine Corps. After testing manyåÊcommercialåÊmarket knives they settled on the "Gameskeeper" by Bark River as their top choice but wanted it redesigned. After a few changes the Bravo 1 was born in 2007.

• Dual purpose thumb ramp notched on back to engage firesteel
• Front part is to put more pressure over plunge line for notching

• For notching and leveraging, the choil was removed, allowing the sharp edge to travel up to the handle

The Bark River Knives Bravo 1.5 is a happy medium for those that felt the Bravo 1 was a little too small and the Bravo 2 just a tad long. The new kid on the block as part of BR Search and Rescue series features a 5.8 inch CPM-S35VN Crucible stainless steel blade that is almost a 1/4 inch thick. This is a little over an inch longer than the original Bravo 1 (4.2" blade). The Crucible S35VN stainless gives the blade more toughness, stain resistance, edge holding and stability. Similar to the earlier S30V but with added Niobium for strength, durability and added grain refinement. CPMS35VN is tougher than the S30V.

There is no micro bevel on this knife therefore the convex blade is ground to zero. It is super sharp and as durable as they come. Extremely easy to resharpen and holds it's sharpness very well.

There is nothing you can't throw at this beautiful piece of work and not get the task done whether its carving out game in the wilderness or as your weapon of choice, the versatility is unmatched. It has an extended tang and antique ivory micarta handles. It comes with a beautiful brown leather belt sheath that is much like the Bravo 1 except longer and has a riveted reinforced mouth. åÊAltogether the Bark River Knives Bravo 1.5 has the following features:
