The Kershaw Blur is often a favorite among EDC owners and for good reason. The 1670 is designed by Ken Onion so naturally it features the patented Speed Safe assisted opening technology for fast one handed opening.åÊThe ambidextrous dual thumb studs make opening simple which is what every knife owner likes to hear. Simply flip the thumbstud out and the blade opens with low effort. Closing is just as easy by sliding the liner lock over to release the blade. The 440A stainless steel large recurve partially serrated blade is black tungsten DLC (diamond like carbon) coated for great edge retention and durability. Black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum (aircraft aluminum) handles with black Trac-Tec grip inserts offer excellent grip (think grip tape for skateboard) and feel as well as very lightweight design. The Kershaw Blur handles are anodized to they can be color dyed with a scratch resistant coating. The blade locks up with a linerlock and the black stainless pocket clip is tip down carry.
