What is Afterpay and how does it work for buying knives?

• Afterpay allows you to buy knives now and pay later in 4 interest-free payments.

• Your total purchase is split into four equal installments.

• The first payment is made at checkout, and the remaining payments are automatically scheduled.

• This makes it easy to finance premium knives without paying interest.

Many EKnives customers use Afterpay to purchase brands like:

Is there a fee to use Afterpay at EKnives?

• There are no interest charges or financing fees.

• You only pay the price of the knife split into installments.

However:

• If a payment is not made by the due date, a late fee may apply.

• Late fees are charged 10 days after the missed payment.

• Check with Afterpay but as of now the maximum late fee is $8.00, and it will never exceed the legal limit allowed in your state.

How do refunds work with Afterpay knife purchases?

If you return a knife purchased with Afterpay:

• EKnives will issue a refund minus a 5% processing fee.

• If the refund happens before all payments are completed:

  • Remaining payments are automatically cancelled.

  • The 5% fee is deducted from what you already paid.

This fee exists because Afterpay does not refund merchant processing fees.

Can I use different cards for different Afterpay payments?

Yes. You can manage payments through the Afterpay app or website.

Automatic Payments (Recommended)

• Go to My Account → Billing → Add Payment Method

• Enter your preferred payment card

• Afterpay will notify you before each installment

Manual Payments

• Log into your Afterpay account

• Click PAY NOW

• Enter your card details manually

• You can also choose to store your card for future payments

Can I change my Afterpay payment date?

• You can pay early anytime through your Afterpay account.

• However, payment dates cannot be moved to a later date.

Can I add another knife to my Afterpay order?

• No. Orders cannot be modified after checkout.

• If you want to purchase another knife, simply place a new order using Afterpay again.

Do I pay interest when financing knives with Afterpay?

• No interest is charged to the customer

• The Fees are abosorbed by us the Retailer

• Afterpay is a 0% interest payment option when payments are made on time.

What happens if I cancel my order?

• A cancelled order is treated the same as a return.

• The refund will include a 5% processing deduction via Afterpay TOS

• This fee covers the non-refundable Afterpay transaction cost

• You can avoid this 5% Fee by Choosing to take Store Credit instead of a Refund

Does Afterpay check my credit?

• No credit checks are required to use Afterpay.

• Approval is handled directly by Afterpay during checkout.

What is the minimum order to buy knives with Afterpay?

• The minimum order total is $125.

• This includes product cost plus shipping.

What is the maximum Afterpay order amount?

• The maximum order total is $2,000 per order but is subject to the customers credit 

This allows customers to finance many high-end knives and limited editions.

What countries can use Afterpay on EKnives?

• Afterpay is currently available for customers located in the United States Only

Why was my Afterpay purchase declined?

Common reasons include:

• An existing Afterpay balance that is not paid off

• Your card declined during the first payment attempt

• Late payments on previous Afterpay orders

• Other approval factors determined by Afterpay’s internal system
