The Rifleman shares classic lines from the knives that built this country. The idea for ATC's first knife was to design a blade that was a great all around fixed blade capable of a large variety of cutting chores. The Rifleman would be right at home around your campsite or cabin as well as RV's and overland rigs. It can be used for food prep to splitting kindling, making feather sticks, cutting cordage, hoses, etc.

The Rifleman is made from AEB-L stainless steel with a Rockwell hardness rating of 59-60. AEB-L offers good corrosion resistance, edge retention and you can put a field expedient edge on it while away from home. The knife features a 5 3/8" blade with a very durable tumbled finish. Weighing in at only 6.4 ounces, the Rifleman is deceptively light for its size. The black Richlite handles feature vertical texturing that offers a very secure grip without being overly aggressive or uncomfortable, performing well in wet or dry conditions.

    Great trail companion!

This knife really does a good job at all camp tasks. You almost forget you’re wearing it because of how light it is and it doesn’t get in the way. But it’s still robust enough to break down kindling and such. It’s a reasonable food prep knife and doesn’t seem to fatigue your hand or give hot spots when carving. The sheath leaves a little to be desired as I feel the part that loops on your belt is a little too flimsy.. but not so much that it’s an issue. However, it could easily be replaced with something if you desire, due to the construction of the sheath. The retention of the knife is great and nice that you don’t need a strap or button snap to hold it in. All in all it’s a solid offering from American tomahawk.
