Addictive...
Benchmade makes a premium product. This company is the gateway drug that will lead you to buying more knives than any one person could possibly need. I’ve bought a couple bugouts as gifts over the years based on their reputation of quality. The mass appeal of this design has lead to a wide variety and availability of endless customization options to truly make this knife your own. I plan to purchase more in the future and, one day, hold onto one for myself.

When I first heard how much these knives were going, I thought people were crazy to buy them. After doing a bit of research, I joined the world of crazies and bought myself one. The action was a little rough but after a couple of days swinging it open and shut, it loosened up. The factory edge was a disappointing; little dull. I would expect this from a $30 knife on amazon, not a $162 knife. The scales made the knife feel cheap. This is an incredibly light weight knife, not something I'm used to... kicking myself that I didn't check out the knife in person before pulling the trigger online. Great experience with eknives.

I'm very angry.
I didn't check it before. Upon closer inspection, one washer was missing. Is this a benchmade manufacturer's mistake? I paid a considerable amount. I'm very angry.

Just ok.
I have several Benchmade knives and I like them a lot but once I received the Bugout 535 the first thing I thought was how expensive it is for what you’re getting. I understand Benchmade was going for a lightweight knife but for $160 I just really don’t like the flimsy plastic scales. I’ve already replaced them with aluminum scales , and moving forward any plastic scales on a Benchmade will be a deal breaker for me. As far as EKNIVES goes, they handled the transaction quickly and efficiently and I would not hesitate to buy from them in the future.

Excellent EDC
I got this knife as a gift for my wife. She loves that it's super lightweight and it's extremely tough and well built. Also, the handle fits her hand perfectly. As for EKnives, they were super fast to ship and were caring enough to include a candy bar and a bandaid. Those little touches made this purchase even better.

I love...
First Benchmade and it’s so light but doesn’t feel cheap to me. Won’t be my last.
