Badass knife. A great addition to any collection

I'm glad they offered this at sale price. Chisel ground damasteel on a beefy knife. Amazingly unnecessary. Like ZZ Tops' silk suit / black tie - I don't need a reason why-y-y.

Long story short, I went on Christmas vacation with a Redencion, came home with two. I fell in love with the Bladehq exclusive, in store, purchased that one. Ordered this exclusive later that week. Perfect size. Excellent fit and finish. One of the best out of the box actions I have ever felt. The kick stop flipper is really refreshing as far as flippers go. You have to try and make it not deploy all the way. The grind lines are beautiful and the flat side is just a great display of the Damasteel pattern. Awesome factory edge, only made better by a short stropping session. I highly recommend this knife!

The quality & built of this knife is incredible. The size & functionality is on point. Being a Chaves 229 Rendencion with a beautiful Damasteel Blade & an EKclusive knife makes it precisely matched. Knife is wonderful. I love the chisel grind being a woodworking nerd. Always been a sucker for Damasteel. Chaves makes some wonderful products, worth every penny. The knife shipped out fast and made it fairly well, some box damage, however the knife made it fine. I would put this as my second favorite knife next to my Damasteel Whip. Buy it!

Beautiful knife, very smooth action. First owned Chaves and won’t be the last. Didn’t notice before I preordered but why is the grind and details on the clip side? I collect so it’s not a big deal just asking.
