Chaves X-Lock Tanto - Awesome!
Anyone on the fence about trying one of these new Chaves X-Lock's should give it a try -- this knife does not disappoint! The fidget factor is through the roof, for both right an left handed users. The axis-style lock provides super smooth action and the aluminum scales add the right amount of weight to make it a pleasure to use. As a fan of other Chaves knives, the first order of business was to get the skull clip installed, and a huge thanks to the Chaves team for continuing to provide this option. And the blue label goodies (box, stickers, microfiber cloth, clip options) just add to the value. This will make a great EDC and the D2 steel is sufficient for most general cutting tasks and is easy to sharpen. Plus the blacked out Tanto is just plain old badass, and my favorite configuration. And finally, it is hard to believe it only costs $85. The fit, finish, and materials make it seem like it should at least be at the $200 price point. Chaves has a winner with this one. And the Eknives team, absolutely awesome in every respect! Great communication and the fastest shipping and delivery in the business, and just genuinely nice people to deal with, and the extras (personal note, sticker, band-aid, candy) they include with every order is also appreciated!
