A let...
I own many many folding knives 200ish and 90% are in the 200-2000$ range. I own several Chaves knives as well. This knife is sturdy built with decent materials and has a great action but unfortunately has some of the absolute worst hot spots to the point that it's sat on my desk since it's arrived. Maybe with a lot of file and sandpaper work it would be usable. But these hot spot lead me to believe the QC isn't a thing . Very disappointing

I Loved it but.....
Another super fast delivery from the team at EKives. They're my go to vendor for all things knives and should be yours too.. I really liked the Liberation 229 when I received it. It's beautifully made, a great size and I really like the appearance. However, I had to return it. I just could not open the blade with one hand. The knife is super tight, So tight that I don't believe it will loosen with use. I worked it all weekend and didn't notice any improvement. I found the cutout next to the thumb pusher is too close to the pusher and the pusher is rather small so I couldn.t really get my thumb behind the pusher to get good leverage. My thumb ends up on top of the pusher instead of behind it to open the blade. Your experience may differ but it just doesn't work for me. If it works for you, it's a great knife at a killer price on sale. This is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
