The Large Inkosi (Zulu word for 'chief') by Chris Reeve Knives is the brainchild of the relentless pursuit of evolution by CRK.
The Inkosi pushes the characteristics of the Integral Lock, blade strength, pivot and lock tolerances as well as overall ergonomics.
A  97 RC ceramic ball runs interface between the Integral Lock bar end and tang of the blade, preventing wear and ensuring accurate lock up for the knife's lifetime. Blending the benefits of a flat grind and hollow grind, the blade’s 20” hollow grind provides a thick stock and overall strength.

    My favorite...

Just when I thought the Sebenza was my grail EDC, I tried an Inkosi and it blew me away. It really is like a super Sebenza. It flicks open with zero blade play when locked up. The ergos are insanely better, like CRK custom molded it for me. And it slices even better than the Seb, with a thicker tougher stock?!? I don't know how they did it - but this bad boy is a home run, especially with the Insingo blade.

    Fully belongs in the CRK...

I am fortunate enough to own the Sebenza, Umnumzaan, and now the Inkosi, all in MagnaCut. I can honestly say, I love them all to such a high level, I cannot foresee a situation I'd ever sell them. These are the finest knives being made today. The Inkosi, for me, is the most ambidextrous, and easiest to operate with either hand. I'm left handed, and NEEDED a lefty Sebenza. I can open it with my right hand, but it's challenging. The Zaan, once broken in, is pretty easy with left or right hand. But there was a huge learning curve and it took a while to wear it in enough to where it's now fairly easy. The Inkosi, however, has no learning curve, and right out of the box, I can deploy the blade effortlessly, from the left, or the right. It may not have the same glassy smoothness as the other two, but it's not far off. The fitment and finishing is absolute perfection, emanating pure Chris Reeve quality.

Chris Reeveslarge Inkosi was exactly what I was looking for. Premium materials, excellent tolerances and feels solid in the hand. Almost too nice to every day carry… Almost ?
