    All MT Kitchen Knives and...

Posted by Dan Stasiowski on Nov 5th 2025

All of the current MT Kitchen Knives have their scales held on with screws in deep, counter sunk holes. This are not good on kitchen knives; they hold dirt, grease, fat and grime, which turns to bacteria unless scrubbed or put in the dishwasher. The dishwasher works but MT does not recommend it, but holding a razor sharp knife in soapy water while trying to clean with toothbrush and pick can be a disaster, as well as time consuming. The knife is OK but mine will see the flat rack in the dishwasher from now on. Maybe EKnives and MT can provide more bandages. By the way; I also purchased eight MT Steak Knives, and all have the same issue. My wife is a chef and it's the first thing she noticed. The knives work well but again; they will be cleaned in the dishwasher. My opinion only.
