Massive upgrade to the previous generation.
The action on this Gen 3 Combat Troodon is MASSIVELY smoother and easier than earlier generations of the knife. Almost no discernible blade play, razor-sharp, smooth as butter and uses Torx hardware rather than the annoying proprietary hardware of the past. Microtech really upgraded this knife significantly in the Gen 3 version.

A home run!
Let's start with the amazing action. The newer deployment action is very smooth and takes less effort. The new pocket clip design is an improvement over the old flat one. The ball on the new titanium clip makes it a pleasure to put back in the pocket while maintaining a secure feel. I get compliments every time I take it out of my pocket. Coworkers have tried to buy it off of me on the spot and I refer them to eknives while they are still in stock. I've purchased knives from every major knife retailer on the web and the service you get from eknives is exemplary. Its the way a knife shop should operate.
