The Microtech D.O.C (Death on Contact) Killswitch is a custom Mick Strider (Strider Knives)-Anthony Marfione (Microtech Knives) automatic folder that won the "Most Innovative Design and Collaboration of The Year at 2013 Blade Show". It gets it's name for its "switch" that doubles as a firing button. When the Killswitch is ready to fire, a whiteÌÎå«ÌÎ_dotÌÎå«ÌÎ_(switch up) will be visible signaling the blade can be deployed. When in the safety locked position (switch down) a red dot will be visible. By pressing the Killswitch, the blade automatically deploys quickly. The Killswitch then locks the firing button in the safe position when needed. NOTE: The original killswitch had this reversed where the red dot meant "fire ready" and white dot meant "safety locked" like an American gun. This was reversed on the current Killswitch to mimic the operation of an HK gun. The DOC Killswitch features a 3.75" Elmax steelÌÎå«ÌÎ_spear point blade with bevel cut, flat grind and date stamped, D.O.C. Killswitch" and Claw logo. The Stonewash blade is called Apocalyptic Stonewash and is a more dull looking stonewash than the typical stonewash finish blade. The 5.5" aluminum 6061 T6 handle has grip tape inserts and a black titanium back spacer. The back of the blade features oversized jimping for non slip grip. A. Marfione and M. Strider are stamped on the pocket clip (tip up carry).
