The smoothest OTF on the market just arrived! The Hera II, a larger version of the already smooth action Hera OTF is here with a completely new drive system for near effortless operation.

The Hera II is everything you want in a larger OTF including rollerball glass breaker. IT also features the reversible pocket clip setup from the very popular Glykon with standard Torx hardware for easy

disassembly. The Hera II has 4 inch blade, slightly larger than a Combat Troodon but much smoother and easer to operate.

If you love the Combat but want a smoother operation, the Hera II is your next EDC.

    Hera II 'Murica

Posted by Adam Swart on Aug 25th 2025

Clay is awesome and always delivers, which is why I give five stars. As for the Hera II, I LOVE this knife so much. I've owned Microtechs since 2013 and have various models including a Borka Stitch, SS Combat Troodon Hellhound, SS Ultratech Hellhound, SS UTX-70 Hellhound, Ultratechs in various styles, Combat Troodons in various styles, and a Socom Alpha... so I'm familiar. This Hera II is the gen 3 and it's action has been perfect. I love the size and weight with the new and improved action. There are a couple problems with the paint they did, but overall the colors are so sick. The new glass breaker/skull crusher is a huge upgrade. Minimal branding/logo on the blade is another smart move by Microtech. The double fuller in the double edge dagger is sleek and refined. The blade has fantastic lockup with next to zero blade play. The body has hidden screws which makes it so clean and really a beautiful design. I recently also got a Scarab II Gen 3 and a Glykon. Save your money and ditch the Glykon and go with a Hera II or the Scarab II. E Knives always has the best and newest selection of Microtech, and I'll be back for another one soon.
