Very satisfied!
This is my 1st purchase of a Microtech, albeit I have owned knives and know how they should function and feel, and this Makora is a beaut! It's operation is smooth, the blade is sharp, and it's aesthetic is highly attractive imo. Perfect for a task that requires a blade quickly, and you can't deny this knife's fear factor in case of a need for protective emergency. Overall, its simple to see how fond I am of this blade. It will be taken with me on the path as my new EDC, clipped on snug to me pocket ;). Thanks to the crew at EKnives for sending out this blade in no time at all! I am a very happy customer. Makora 2
Slightly thicker and longer chassis compared to the Ultratech. Supposedly the internals should hold up better due to the nickel boron coating, plus the drain holes at the bottom. Downside is the blade wasn’t very sharp out of box. Daggers aren’t going to be your best slicer but it should still cut. For the price you might want an Ultratech instead but for the extra features, it’s very nice. Would like to see a drop point in the future.

Makora!!!
After owning several UTX., UTX85 and UTX70’s. I couldn’t imagine them improving an already masterpiece OTF until I received my Makora. I had to verify through Microtech that they did polish and NiB (Nickel Boron) coat the internals which noticeably smooth out the action and knowingly will help further protect against corrosion. The fit and finish is stepped up as well. A fine tuxedo style personal protection knife to add to the collection. Way to go MT!

It’s back!
While this particular variant of my favorite OTF of all time Makora II, is relatively underwhelming, even at the size of a regular Ultratech (which is by the way definitely longer than 3.25 inches), the original Makora’s surprising comeback to Microtech lineup for 2022 is definitely pleasant but more importantly hope inspiring, that perhaps, its astronomically longer sibling, my all time favorite 4.5 inch double action OTF, Makora II, may also mysteriously resurface in the near future?
