Who said size doesn't matter? The Microtech UTX-70 is one of the smallest OTF (out the front) automatics on the market. At 70% the size of the Ultratech, Microtech's first ever OTF knife, the UTX-70 has the same simplistic design and internal spring makeup. The spring remains "at rest" until the blade is deployed ensuring it fires effectively every time. The orange anodized aluminum handle measures just over 3 inches long and features bead blast hardware, pocket clip and auto firing slide switch on the side. The slide switch deploys and retracts the OTF rapidly with one push making it a perfect EDC OTF knife. The Microtech UTX-70 OTF auto features a 2.4" single edge drop point standard blade with a black finish. The UTX 70 auto is perfect sized for the hand and pocket.

Microtech UTX-70
First I want to acknowledge EKnives LLC for the sale of several Microtech Knives that I have purchased. Their website, photos, and descriptions of all brands allows a buyer to purchase with confidence. The Microtech UTX-70 Drop Point 148-10R is one of the best pocket knives made. Clips right inside of your pocket, and forget it was there. The engineering into an automatic knife is pretty remarkable to begin with. Re-engineering an automatic to perfection is called Microtech. Whatever abuse I put on the blade, it keeps razor sharp with 27 degree blade, and holds up to much abuse. The old sang, "You get What You Pay For" holds true to Microtechs Knives. If a UTX-70 does not work for you, take a look at EKnives website, at the 100's of photos, and written descriptions not just for the Microtech Brand, but several others as well.
