    I own multiple versions of the previous Scarab 2, I have the d/e shadow dlc models one with full serrations and the other just a standard d/e blade. This newer version is so much better when it comes to deploying and retracting the difference is night and day. Now I'm looking forward to them doing some shadow models with the new upgrades

    My first Scarab but not my first OTF/Microtech. Was really happy to see this knife come back into production especially with the new spring system which I can't compare to the previous Scarabs since I've never had one but I can fire this knife 100 times in a row without getting a sore thumb vs my Ultratech which takes about 5 times. My order got delayed by snow (or rather UPS did) but the transaction was great and I'll be a repeat customer for sure.

    This is my first otf. It has been on my wishlist for a while. I had seen a couple online over the last few years but couldn’t justify one at the time. When I heard that Microtech was re-releasing the Scarab, I knew that I needed to jump on it if I found one. I had received email notifications from other dealers, but they were gone by the time I read my email. I just happened to see Eknives had it so I ordered it. They shipped it super fast. I’m happy with the shopping experience with Eknives, and really impressed with the Scarab.

    The Scarab has always been my favorite Microtech OTF. The redesigned GEN III’s are excellent! The apocalyptic blade and hardware is awesome. Compared to the GEN II’s, the thumb slider on the GEN III is smooth as butter. That said, you still get that Scarab thump when the blade retracts. Get one and you will NOT be disappointed.
