The smaller sibling to the Exo, the New EXO-M has plenty to offer all collectors. The smaller size makes it better for EDC and top that off with an added Titanium pocket clip for easy carry. The New Exo-M comes with a safety slide lock on the face of the handle for secure lockup. By pinching the milled handle scales and dropping the frame at an angle, you can easily slide the blade in and out with nothing but gravity. As if this sucker wasn't fidget friendly already, it just got an upgrade!

Reate Gravity...
Typical Reate quality, looks great, deploys great. I'm thinking about getting another in a tattoo blade.

Knife fidget delight , but tip down carry?
These things are positively addictive in terms of the fidget quotient. And with a bit of practice the blade slides open and closed with a tip of the wrist. The build quality is decent but there is probably a bit of premium in the price for the novelty. The tanto blade has a nice edge although lockup is less than solid. A bit of compromise on lockup probably comes with the territory. All in all, it is certainly a "one hander" to deploy and close the blade. Am also grateful for the inclusion of a safety - it is conveniently located and easy to operate. A safety is probably critical for this knife since, for reasons I have yet to fathom, it has a nice clip set up for tip down carry. That is correct - a gravity knife that releases in tip down carry orientation.

From Ultimate Fidget Toy to Fully Functional...
Adding a lock to the Reate EXO to create the somewhat smaller Reate EXO-M was a wise move by the manufacturer. The very high standards of fabrication have been maintained, and this is now a very functional and beautiful knife for EDC. And yes, it's still fun to play with!
