The Toor team drew on their extensive experience in the military with Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) school, as well as first responder career fields to create the perfect tool for the job.
Crafted with hard use in mind, the Egress features a CPM S35VN blade, which is an extremely durable and wear-resistant steel. This is vital for search and rescue, where the blade may need to be used for extended periods of time and in a variety of challenging conditions. CPM S35VN steel has excellent corrosion resistance, making it ideal for use in marine environments or other situations where the blade may be exposed to moisture. At a 0.25” thick, the blade is sturdy and robust enough to handle heavy-duty cutting and prying tasks, such as sawing or cutting with the SERE Hook, as well as breaking through tough materials in an emergency with a new, larger 0.25” diameter tungsten carbide Breacher Ball™ on the pommel.
