2014 shot show has seen a host of new flipper knives hit the market. Some were already out and others on their way. Here are a few of the best flipper knives of 2014.

CRKT Hi Jinx "2014 Blade Show Overall Knife of the Year"

The Ken Onion designed Hi Jinx is the first high end CRKT model that has a track record of building economical folders. The Hi Jinx (MSRP $500) is a limited production model with only 525 pieces being produced.

The Hi Jinx is a  high end gentleman’s tactical flipper with a 4.7″ sand blasted 6AL4V titanium concave handle and premium Sleipner steel blade. It has a satin drop point blade that is flat ground and measures nearly a quarter inch thick along the spine.

ZT 0562 / ZT 0562 Carbon Fiber

Another great collaboration sees Rick Hinderer introduce his "slicer" grind to the ZT knives family with the ZT 0562 model that comes in a Carbon Fiber and G-10 edition. The 4.8" handle has a G-10 front and stonewashed titanium back. A deep carry reversible pocket clip offers excellent pocket friendly carry.

The 3.5" Elmax stonewashed blade offers excellent corrosion resistance and the built in "flipper" allows for smooth one handed deployment via KVT bearing system.  ZT uses a frame lock with hardened steel lockbar inserts and lockbar stabilization so the lock won't overextend.

Brous Division Flipper / Mini division Flipper Jason Brous is an up and coming master of knife making. His radical and super cool blades are at the forefront of the industry. The Division Flipper come out in 2013 but its smaller brother was released earlier this year. The Brous Division Flipper was a beast of a blade with a handle length of almost 6" and 4.3" D2 steel blade. The 3D contoured carbon fiber handle was a nice touch and the flipper worked very well. This limited edition serial numbered knife is out of stock but the second run will arrive in fall 2014.

The Brous Mini Division Flipper knife comes with a more pocket friendly 5" G-10 handle and a 3.5" D2 steel blade. You can rest assured the Mini Division is will garner some attention given it is more carry friendly. The ergonomics of the Division handles is quite fantastic. It feels really good in the hand.[button link="https://eknives.com/?s=division+flipper&post_type=product" color="orange"] Buy Mini Division Flipper[/button]

Kershaw Cryo II Tanto Blackwash

Kershaw Knives not only changed their logo, they opted for a host of blackwash finished flippers including the updated tactical Cryo II Tanto edge. The all blackwash finish, all stainless steel flipper is a Rick Hinderer collaboration that gives this great flipper a "broken in" look.

Perfect for EDC use and now equipped with a strong blade tip, the Kershaw Cryo II offers Speedsafe spring assisted technology for fast one handed deployment. The Cryo II comes with a slightly larger 3.4" blade and 4.4" handle equipped with a frame lock and 4 position deep carry pocket clip. ZT0801 / ZT 0801CF

So the ZT 0801 is actually a 2013 flipper knives debut but it made such an impression that is had a makeover/upgrade for 2014. Gaining awards and accolades and rightfully so. It was my favorite flipper knife of the last 2 years. Todd Rexford and ZT did a killer job putting this one together. If that wasn't enough, they decided to slaps some carbon fiber on the handle and bronze coat the titanium handle.

The ZT 801CF comes with an upgraded M390 two tone blade that is nothing short of amazing. We have this knife MAP priced at $320 (MSRP $400). Supply is limited and runs out quick so get your name on the waitlist for the next shipment [button link="https://eknives.com/?s=zt0801&post_type=product" color="orange"]Buy ZT 0801/0801Cf[/button] .
