What is a Karambit you ask? Well, Ernest Emerson will tell you it is an Ancient Indonesian Utility knife used for self defense and protection purposes. At first glance the Emerson Karambit looks like the baddest tactical knife on the planet, for many it is just that. The Karambit knife has a unique sinister look that is rivaled by no other and once in your hand, it really shows you why it is an Emerson Knives

best seller!

There are several Emerson Karambit knife models that include the folding  Combat Karambit and Super Karambit. The Karambit fixed blade is just what is says, a fixed blade karambit.

There are many brands that produce Karambit knives (Fox, Blade-tech, 5.11 Tactical to name a few) on the market but Emerson is the most recognized and highly sought after brand equipped with the "Wave shaped feature" remote pocket opener (see video below). In fact the "Wave" opener is so popular that many knife makers have added Wave to their Karambit knives.

Blade

The Emerson Combat Karambit blade comes out of the box razor sharp in a hawkbill blade design. The 154 CM blade steel comes in black (BT) and stonewash finish (SF) and plain blade only. The Karambit does not come serrated but the blade features a large round hole for opening (similar to Spyderco round hole). The Emerson Karambit features a 2.6" chisel ground blade with "Wave shaped feature" remote pocket opener tab attached for easy one handed deployment out of the pocket. Watch the patented "Wave shaped feature" in action below.

Emerson Knives Karambit has a very ergonomic handle made of G-10 with cutouts and a .9" finger hole on the end for one handed grab deployment. The 4.65" handle features a titanium frame with liners for rock solid lockup. The black pocket clip is left or right hand carry and tip up only.

The Combat Karambit handle molds to your hand in a forward or reverse grip quite nicely. I love the feel and size of it.  The pivot adjustment is a flat head screw which makes adjusting extremely easy.  Below are the specs on all of the Emerson Karambit knives.
