New Benchmade H&K Turmoil Knife Has Arrived
Posted by Clayton on Nov 5th 2013
The HK Turmoil OTF knife is the latest release in the OTF (out the front) automatic knife lineup for Heckler & Koch (made by Benchmade) knives. If you are familiar with Benchmade OTF autos like the Infidel or the HK Epidemic or Tumult then you will love the new Turmoil. It is made of 6061 T6 aluminum much like the other HK OTF knives. HK is sticking with the D2 blade steel and this knife comes in a drop point blade unlike the Epidemic (dagger) or the Tumult (clip point).
Blade
The H&K Turmoil knife comes with the standard D2 steel blade like the Epidemic and Tumult use. A high grade tool steel many designers are using as a staple in their knife lineup (think Jason Brous).
The Turmoil by HK knives dons a 3.5" blade and comes in a black coated or satin finish. The blade thickness is .100" and the blade style is a drop point with a standard edge.
Handle
Like the other OTF knives by Heckler & Koch, the Turmoil handle is made of black 6061 T6 aluminum thus giving the knife a weight of just 3.4oz. The handle measures 4.6" which is perfect for EDC use or Military/Law Enforcement.
The black pocket clip is tip down and reversible. The double action automatic thumb slide is located on the side of the handle (think Microtech) and is tinted gray to contrast the black anodized handle.
