Tennessee Switchblade Ban Repeal Effective July 1 2014

Tennesseeans have a right to celebrate because as of July 1 2014 the carry of automatic knives is officially legal in Big Orange Country! Thanks to KnifeRights.org and Governor Bill Haslam signing the SB1771 bill which repeals the ban on switchblade (automatic) knives and knives over 4 inches in length.

According to Knife Rights, Tennessee is the 7th state to repeal switchblades and it makes 17 legislative victories for the Knife Rights group, a huge success for us knife lovers! They are essentially re-writing knife laws in the United States.

So carry any knife you desire but remember one thing, don't be an idiot! As with gun carry permits, just because you have one doesn't mean you should go brandishing it in public. Be smart and safe!
