One of Spyderco's most popular EDC (everyday carry) knives is called the Endura which was introduced back in 1990. The Endura has become one of the best selling Spyderco knives on the market,, now called the Endura4. Over the years the Endura has endured some finite changes or refinements such as improved ergonomics, blade steels and grinds. You can find the Spyderco Endura 4 in a variety of handle colors, blade grinds and edges which include standard, partially serrated and serrated.

The Handle

The Endura4 has an ergonomic handle measuring 5 inches long and is made from fiberglass reinforced nylon commonly referred to as FRN. The Endura4 features Bi-directional texturing in the FRN for added grip performance. Inside the handle are skeletonized dual stainless steel liners which reduce weight making the knife just over 3 ounces total. The butt of the handle features a lanyard hole and the black stainless pocket clip is upgraded from past models (tip up only) to a 4 way carry.

The spine of the Endura handle has some jimping for natural finger placement when cutting and there are finger grooves on the handle itself. There is no shortage of handle colors with the Endura 4.  It comes in blue, green black, grey, purple, brown and stainless to name a few.

The Blades

The Spyderco Endura knife uses a 3.75" VG-10 blade and comes with a flat saber grind, hollow grind or full flat grind (FFG). You can get the Endura4 in a PlainEdge, SpyderEdge or CombinationEdge configuration. It comes out of the box extremely sharp and the patented Spyderco thumb hole pull is larger measuring 14mm.
