Love the knife I lost my old all black version and decided I had to get it while it was on sale because I couldn’t live without it. I had the blackout edition of this that I believe was limited edition or only sold on a particular distributor. I somehow completely lost it. I looked everywhere for it and I waited no and waited and Finally was like all right and waited until this black Friday sale.. So happy I have one of these back in my life. I love the look and feel of the knife overall. The only negative I have is that the knife tends to bind up on occasion when I attempt to deploy the blade with the flipper. It doesn’t appear to be a problem with the frame lock. The kickstop assembly itself seems to torque and bind up. It has gotten better with use and hopefully it will go away altogether.

Just a great knife. Well balanced, feels good in the hand, great action, sturdy lock and looks cool. No regret purchase.

I have always wanted a Chaves 229 drop point love the looks of the compound grind and the overbuilt nature of the knives full titanium and m390 is top notch.I have the Sangre street 229 warned and love it ! But the 229 kickstop is a game changer.The flipper is effortless and action is amazing and the fact that the flipper tab disappears when deployed makes the choilless blade look so much better!! So beautiful and Smooth this is by far my new Fave! Thanks EKnives!!

I've been a fan of Ramon Chaves designs for a while now. The 229, for me, is the perfect EDC size. Overall build quality is excellent, blade grinds are gorgeous and always very sharp out of the box. The Kick Stop feature takes is up a notch. Very smooth action, really like that it hides away during use. 5 stars.

Great knife. Heavy duty, great action . The flipping tab works great..!! Quality knife
