CHAVES KNIVES DISSIDENT OTF AUTOMATIC KNIFE RED FLAT BLASTED ALUMINUM 3.8" M390 TANTO TT STONEWASH
What can I say, Chaves Knives coming out with their version of an Out The Front (OTF) knife ?!?!? I knew I had to buy one and add it to my collection. I don’t really own a lot of OTF knives, I had only 2 (Guardian Tactical Apex and Kershaw Livewire). But when I found out about it the new versions of the Dissident, the Red Aluminum with the Two tone/Stonewash Tanto finish caught my eye immediately. Knowing how popular Chaves Knives are, they sell out fast and don’t come back to stock for a while. I purchased this version right away and very excited to get it. Eknives shipping and handling has to be one of the best in the game, I received my Dissident less than a week. It was spectacular, I got a notification that the knife was here and I was so excited. First glance at this knife, absolutely gorgeous ! The red aluminum handles with the two tone Tanto, Stonewash blade looks so good together. When I grabbed on to this knife, it felt fantastic. It’s a slightly than average large OTF, at least for my medium sized hands. But the Chaves designed and contoured the handle, feels just right. I’m glad that they went with a smaller size pocket clip, I think if the Dissident came with the normal size pocket clip. It would of been too big and made the knife look off. The deployment is spot on, it is a bit challenging to put away the knife. Not sure if it needs time to get used to it or constant repetitions deploying to get the push button going. The black accents on the hardware from the distinguishing Chaves skull pocket clip to the deployment button pairs nicely with the blade and handles. My favorite part has to be the blade, I can’t get enough of the two tone color combo with the Tanto blade shape. Chaves knives is for sure top 3 when it comes to Tanto blades. Looks mean, aggressive and ready for battle. On top of that, they went with a premium knife steel (M390). I love everything about this knife, it has zero flaws. I am beyond satisfied with this beautiful, well crafted knife. Chaves Knives hit it out of the park with the creation of the Dissident
