The AD20 XXX is the largest model in the AD20 family. Because the AD20 was designed by Andrew Demko as a modular platform, Demko Knives is able to scale the parameters of the chassis, blade, and lock. When these parameters are dialed to 11, the result is this massive folding knife.
In line with Demko's Performance-First philosophy, the AD20 XXX is not simply a study in how large a knife can be made but, rather, how a large knife can be made well. Andrew Demko designed this model paying special attention to grind geometries and performance metrics, allowing the thick blade to excel at slicing tasks. Not all large knives can cut, but the AD20 XXX does it with ease. The weighty blade also adds a lot of reinforcing strength to the thin edge, easily pushing the blade through difficult materials.
