The Microtech Combat Troodon OTF (out the front) is named after the Troodon dinosaur and is the larger version of the Troodon OTF knife which debuted in 2006. The Combat Troodon is one of MT's largest OTF double action production knives available with an overall length of 9.5 inches. The Combat Troodon features a 3.8" stainless steel double edge dagger style blade with stonewash finish. The 5.75" handle is black anodized aluminum and features a bead blast finish hardware, glass breaker and pocket clip. Yes this is a larger OTF knife but it feels great in the hand thanks to the jimping in the handle.

Hard...
The problem I had with this knife was how hard it was to deploy the blade and how much harder it was to retract it. No doubt its a high quality product but not if you have to depend on your opponent in a fight to help you deploy your blade…

Broke Combat...
My Microtech Combat Troodon Broke within a week of purchasing it. I expected after paying 500 bucks that I would get a great product, but I was wrong. The firing mechanism is jammed and the knife will not deploy. I am not happy with my purchase. I just hope Microtech's support is better than what I have been hearing on the web. I guess we will see when I finally get it back.

I've always wanted one of these as a young teenager and now I finally got the money to buy one of these beauties. The blade is perfectly ground and the edge is scary sharp. Some people say Microtechs are overpriced, but once you own one and see the craftsmanship, materials, and beauty for yourself...I can guarantee you're getting your money's worth.
