    Conflicted

Although the OTF mechanism works well and is a slight improvement over my Guardian Recon-40, I absolutely do not like the side buttons. Ruin what would’ve been a nice clean look. Almost impossible to deploy the blade with side buttons. Closing the blade with the buttons is also difficult. Sharpness is just so so. If you want a sharp blade from Microtech , you need to buy a Microtech/Rike collaboration. Also a bit overpriced for what you get. I do like the apocalyptic stonewash finish.

    Tan Microtech Glyckon...

Posted by Zach Walley on Jul 31st 2024

My edc knife if a microtech troodon gen 2 and it has served faithfully for 4 years now and is still cranking hard and although skeptical at first when I wanted the Glyckon I can firmly say after a comparison of how they perform in the last 2 weeks has been unnoticeable with the benefit of the tri switch I would say is it a great sturdy purchase for someone looking for a rugged efficient and reliable quick deploy knife??
