Overall I am in love with this knife. Love the weight, amazing feel and fit in the hand. This is easily one of my favorite Microtechs. Sadly, I can not give this knife a 5 star review. After carrying this knife twice in my pocket, the pocket clip has come loose and is now clanking around. Since these screws are special I can not just re-tighten the screws, I either need to buy their special tool (right around $285, if you can find one to buy), or send it to Microtech just for them to tighten some screws.

I own several Microtech OTF knives. Until the Hera, my personal favorite was the UTX-85. The Hera basically took everything that was great about the UTX-85 and made it a bit better in every regard: - Easiest deployment and retraction of any Microtech I have used. - Perfect size. It fits nicely in the hand, easily in the pocket, and has a wonderful clip - The design language is more evolved than the previous Microtech models and will hopefully be adopted into other models when they are refreshed over time. The curves, jimping, exclusion of glass breaker, and new pocket clip give this knife a more sophisticated look. Let's hope it gets cast in the next John Wick film. I can't think of a finer dessert for the sommelier to recommend to be paired with an Italian cut suite with a tactical lining.

The Hera is a beautiful knife. It is nice to see a signature series made into a production knife. It is the perfect size for every day carry. The action is the smoothest I have felt from Microtech. Fit and finish is outstanding. All around awesome knife.

Is this the end for UTX85’s?! Absolutely love this thing! New chassis is where it’s at! For me it seems like a cross between utx85 and a troodon but with sexy new body! Eknives like always top notch service! No questions about that there!

If I had to choose only one MT it would be Hera! excellent feel, size and execution

Great Microtech. I do however miss the sheath that use to come with every Microtech knife.

Bought a Dirac a few days before and when I noticed the announcement of the Hera, knew I had to get it. Bought it and haven’t looked back. Hands down favorite carry knife and it’s sexy as hell.
