Well made, but too small
This knife is extremely well made, its obvious the effort that went into the design as far as construction. But, at least for me, its way too small, and this is one of the largest knives Microtech sells except for the always out of stock Halo and Scarab. As a first responder with extensive active duty military experience, this does not fit what a combat/survival knife should be. There is really nothing to grip on it, so in a fight, or stressful situation where it needs to be used, it would easily slip out of the hand, or having to cut someone out of a trapped seatbelt, this wouldn't be my choice of equipment, its just too small and not practical for survival/combat. I would like to stress again that this is a very well made item, its just not what I would use on the front line.

Ultratech 3.4" stepside tanto
Quality knife, lighter than it looks and surprisingly balanced. Would recommend to anyone looking for a functional edc otf blade. Product was processed and shipped very quickly. Would definitely recommend shopping at Eknives.com, very satisfied with my experience.

Great Knife
First Microtech I have bought, and first impressions are positive. It is a quality knife, razor sharp, and it looks like it will last for years. I didn't feel it was worth knocking a star off, but if I could change one thing it would be to either make it a bit easier to deploy the blade, or make the switch a little less aggressive. The first couple days of owning it and having fun deploying the blade can leave you with a bit of a sore thumb. On a side note, I can't say enough good things about eknives. My order was literally processed and set to ship within 2 hours of me placing my order, and I'm not sure if shipping speed is typically 2nd day air, but it was in my case. Great service.
