Who said size doesn't matter? The Microtech UTX-70 is one of the smallest OTF (out the front) automatics on the market. At 70% the size of the Ultratech, Microtech's first ever OTF knife, the UTX-70 has the same simplistic design and internal spring makeup. The spring remains "at rest" until the blade is deployed ensuring it fires effectively every time. The black anodized aluminum handle measures just over 3 inches long and features tactical hardware, pocket clip and auto firing slide switch on the side. The double action thumb slide switch deploys and retracts the OTF rapidly with one push making it a perfect EDC OTF knife. The Microtech UTX-70 OTF auto features a 2.4" drop point blade with a stonewash finish. The UTX 70 auto is perfect sized for the hand and pocket.

UTX-70, Small but it's kind of a good thing...

Posted by FrankS on Aug 3rd 2021

When I first received the knife and opened the box my first impression was, "it's REALLY small" and I reached out to eKnives to exchange it for the UTX-85. But then I spent some time with it an while it is small, it does some things that none of my other knives do. One being, fit in the watch pocket of my pants which is a pretty cool trick. I also found after spending time with it is that I've got several knives the size of the 85 but nothing the size of the 85 so I decided to keep it and I"m glad I did. It's REALLY well made, the action is smooth and quick and the blade is stable and I expect that it will hold its edge very well. I'm also a fan of the pocket clip as it sits very deep in the pocket and the glass breaker is a nice touch as well. If you have REALLY big hands this won't be the knife for you but if you have average sized hands, you and Goldilocks should find this knife to be not too small, not too big but just right...

It’s been 18 months since I became obsessed with purchasing knives. I always dreamed of owning a microtech knife and now it’s come true this little guy has met all my expectations and then some stop dreaming and buy one from Eknives you won’t be disappointed don’t buy the Chinese made clones for a fraction of the cost but invest in something that will last for generations
