This is one of the best EDC OTF knives out there. Perfect size for the pocket and still fits large hands well. Always great blade steel and customer service.

The blade is laser/ lightsaber-sharp ! The actuating slide is very stiff/ hard to open and close. It takes some getting used to. The housing/frame is super tough and sturdy , it’s just a bit too difficult to open and close the blade if your hands are sweaty or wet. The pocket clip is strong and tight . 4/5 stars. I love the fact that it’s made in the USA.

I love the knife but it simply wont function on a daily basis

Posted by Andrew Fay on Dec 31st 2020

I carried autx-85 daily in a ranch enviroment since march. It began to fail to fire about a month after purchase. I blew it out with air and oiled it. That seemed to help but it required that kind of service almost daily. I sent it in thinking something must be wrong. It came back all cleaned and inspected and failed to fire within a few days. Meanwhile in the 6 weeks it was in service i picked up an OTF from a competitor and it has not had one single hiccup for less than half the price. Bottom line is: fit an finish are perfect and metallurgy seems great. But this simply is an unreliable design the price point makes this more of a status symbol and not a tool. This is the rolex not the seiko.
