Microtech UTX-85 OTF Automatic Knife Red 3" M390 Tanto Stonewash 233-10RD

Have had my eye on the UTX-85 for quite some time and finally treated myself. What can I say… amazing. It is the creme de la crème of my knife collection thus far. Very happy with this purchase.

Typical Microtech quality, tight tolerances, top shelf materials. Stone wash blade finish looks great. This was a gift to my son, it was well received.

When it comes to OTF knives, Microtech in my humble opinion, wins every single time. Build quality with regard to materials and craftsmanship, are simply the best available. From a realizability standpoint, given proper maintenance, they fire without fail every single time. If I’m buying a knife EKnives is the first site I visit. This UTX-85 is my 6th Microtech I’ve purchased through EKnives. I like to spend my money on American products, at American businesses owned by Americans. I’d rather spend $350 on a knife made in America from a solid retailer owned by a red blooded American Tennessee boy any day!

I think microtech knocked it out of the park with the 85’s. This series is about the perfect size for EDC. The machining on these is superb and fit and finish is very good. The edge comes pretty sharp by most standards and will shave out of the box. As with most OTF’s I’ve handled, there is some blade play due to the mechanics of the knife but nothing that will affect performance, so if you have no experience with them, don’t be surprised. Its a sacrifice to make for the knife to function. Eknives came through with fast shipping also. A+
