The Short Bladed Rockeye, or SBR for short, is a compact version of Pro-Tech's popular full-sized Rockeye Auto.
Both knives are designed by Marine Corps knife designer Les George, who’s ergonomic hard use knives have been faithfully translated to automatic versions by Pro-Tech. The SBR features a compact design, with a 2.5″ blade that’s built for a multitude of cutting tasks. A pocket milled spine adds extra grip and depth to the design. The knife snaps open with authority thanks to Pro-Tech's coil spring automatic mechanism.
Don’t let its size fool you, the SBR is a bantam powerhouse.

    Great knife.

I absolutely love this knife, and being left handed it is even better. It is easy to deploy and use with one hand, and is the right size for an everyday knife. The factory edge is good, and is holding up nicely to the cardboard and paper I throw at it.

    Cool knife for lefties.

It’s great to see a major company looking like this make a lefty version. It is much appreciated. I will say the overall fit and finish is excellent except for the milled out portion that surrounds the button. It is sharp and not finger friendly. It should have been chamfered. Other than that, great auto.

Wow, had to get it as soon as I seen it. If your left handed you KNOW WHAT I MEAN. IT GREAT.

    Nice but slick

Posted by Jeff on Mar 28th 2022

This is my first Protech knife I have used another OTF and automatic company before I believe this fires harder and the QC is very good. Only gripe I would have is the body is super slick. No purchase hard to get out of the pocket. For every day carry in your jeans or whatever is fine. I carry it for work in my left pocket and I’m going to put some thing on one side so I can grip it Because I need to deploy it in a hurry
