The American made Pentagon OTF automatic knife is designed to meet the exacting demands of users who require a dependable one-handed, fast opening switchblade knife. SOG's Dynamic Lock-up System redefines open reliability and blade lock-up strength in OTF knives, while the CRYO S35VN blade and hard-anodized aluminum handle reinforce the durability of the knife. Pentagon OTF delivers reliable OTF technology for professional users who rely on high-end steel and technology.

SOG’s Dynamic Locking System ensures the blade moves quickly to the open or closed position. When it’s there, it’s held firmly in place in a secure, reliable and confident lock-up.

An OTF auto with exceptional lock-up strength. Designed for professionals, law enforcement and warfighters, its rugged aluminum handle, CYRO S35VN blade and SOG's Dynamic System guarantee years of hard use. Easy to open with either hand, and American-made, it delivers a rattle-free solution to a problem that's plagued OTF knives for years. Automatic opener buttons can be hard on the fingers. Under duress, when every second counts, they can be difficult to engage. Pentagon OTF’s oversized button fixes that, allowing for multiple interface points. When you need to open, it opens fast.

    SOG Pentagon...

Posted by Peter Sirangelo on Nov 17th 2023

First let me tell you that EKnives is awesome. ANY time I have ever had an issue, they quickly took care of it, and if there was a delay in response, they even apologized for it. Now the knife. I read reviews on it after I purchased it. All the negative reviews are correct, the blade rubs on the way in and out, and it misfires both opening and closing enough that I would not trust it for anything, also at times I needed to use two hands to retract the blade. I sprayed it with Rem oil first, and that didn't help, then on suggestion from EKnives I used WD-40, and It made no difference . The blade was sharp, except for where it rubbed, the blade has next to zero movement/rattle in the open and closed positions, not something many OTF manufacturers can claim. Was very ergonomic in hand, and the side switch was big, and comfortable. It's a shame and no fault of EKnives, and to their credit are helping me out with this. If SOG fixes their bugs with it, I would gladly purchase another one. Except for the rubbing and reliability issue I really liked the blade. Maybe in the future. I give one star solely based on SOG and not EKnives. If there was a separate area for them, I'd give them five stars, but the knife has issues that I believe stem from design issues or manufacturing issues or materials.
