The Spyderco Para Military 2 was released in 2010 with several changes over the classic version. Implementation of a new Bushing Pivot System generates fluid action and more consistent manufacturing tolerances. The G-10 handle is narrowed at the end improving ergonomics. The handle and blade have been profile thinner to eliminate hard angles when in the pocket in a closed position. It features a Compression Lock and an ambidextrous-friendly four-way clip that carries tip-up/tip-down, left/right-hand that rests deep in a pocket.

The Para Military 2 has a high-performance CPM S45VN full flat-ground blade but they lengthened the blade's tip and added additional surface jimping to both the spine and finger choil, then coated it in non-reflective DLC (Diamond-Like Coating). Screw-together handle components, the pocket clip, and the blade are coated in black to inhibit the folder's reflective qualities.

Overall construction refinements are not drastic or even visible to the eye, but from the G-10 textured handle to the CPM SV45N steel full flat black blade, everything is sharper, smoother, and guaranteed to provide performance and user comfort.

    If you are searching to buy a Paramilitary 2 knife it´s because you allready know its the best EDC knife out there. It´s an awesome knife, with very good ergonomics, perfect size, excelent steel S30V, very light weight, fast deployment, big thumb hole for a quick deployment even using gloves and for me it has the best blade lock Spyderco makes (compression lock). The black blade version is very difficult to find so if you see one, jump on it! Get yourself on the waiting list, its worth it. Clayton has one of the best customer service I´ve deal with, he has helped me a lot with the two paramilitary 2 version I bought on EKnives taking in consideration I´m from Costa Rica. He answered all my questions via email and the online chat in just a couple of minutes. ¡Great knife, great page!

    Well, first of all, let me start by saying that I searched high and low for the Spyderco Paramilitary2, and eKNIVES was the only place that had some in stock. Kudos right off the bat! I placed my order from my iPad late on a Tuesday afternoon, but right after confirming the order, my iPad locked up. I went downstairs and jumped on the desktop computer. There was already an e-mail confirming my order in my inbox! I e-mailed eKNIVES just to be sure the order went through OK, and Clayton responded in just a few minutes even though it was already after 5 pm. He said my order was just fine, my knife would ship in the morning, and I would have it by Friday. When I got home Friday, my Paramilitary2 was there waiting for me just as promised. As many have stated, this knife is nothing short of awesome. I've searched for awhile to find a knife that is lefty friendly and I'm glad I gave this one a shot. Can't stop fiddling with it.     All the hype surrounding the Spyderco ParaMilitary 2 is true...top of the food chain for best EDC...period. Having one in hand now, makes me understand why it is such a desired blade.     I've handled/owned countless folders from customs to production and out of all of them I always find myself putting my spyderco paramilitary 2 back in my pocket, one of the best folding knife designs ever made in my opinion. A definite must have and if your new to knives I highly recommend starting here
