Drawing inspiration from Spyderco's iconic Native folding knife, the Shaman offers the same advanced ergonomics and proven design dynamics in a larger, even more capable format. The soul of this impressive design is its CPM-S30V stainless steel blade, which features a full-flat grind for outstanding edge geometry and an acute, utilitarian point. A fully accessible Trademark Round Hole proudly announces its Spyderco lineage and ensures swift, reliable, one-handed opening with either hand.
The stonewash-finished blade is housed in an exceptionally refined, ergonomic handle built with nested skeletonized stainless steel liners and contoured matte-finished G-10 scales. This robust construction forms the foundation of the knife’s high-strength Compression Lock mechanism, which locks the blade securely open and allows safe, easy one-handed closing.
To ensure convenient carry and immediate access, a stonewashed four-position pocket clip offers left or right-side, tip-up or tip-down carry.

Eknives is amazing and the Shaman is pretty Darn...
EKnives is as always crazy fast with shipping and has a personal touch you only get with smaller family owned companies. The Shaman is a fantastic knife with a few flaws… I think it’s overpriced (from spyderco not by eknives) but I bought it anyway as a gift. I’m also not a fan of unsharpened section that the unsharpened section blade protrudes into the compression lock area when it is closed/while closing the knife. I would consider this a design flaw and if I were the end user I would modify this area. (i believe this is a common mod) knife was on-center out of the box though I did need to slightly loosen the pivot to achieve desired action (still on center after adjustment) Overall i’m happy with my purchase and EKives is always my preferred dealer. Looking forward to future purchases!

Quality control Spyderco...
I received the knife quickly and in overall good condition, however, I wasn't happy with the finish on the blade. Definitely some quality control issues going on. I thought maybe if tried to clean the knife with a clean cloth it would help matters. Instead it made the finish look worse. That's my fault. I guess I was supposed to know better? I'm not very happy with the way EKnives handled the situation. I ended up paying for the knife which was my decision, and I was offered a full refund, but it seemed very begrudgingly. The gentleman on the phone admitted that the finish on the Spyderco Shaman was spotty in general. Then why would you sell them in the first place? $250 dollars is a lot of money to pay for a knife with a sub par finish. You're putting your customers in a compromised position. No real willingness to make me feel better about the situation either. What about 10% off your next order? What about a sincere apology about the inconvenience of the whole transaction? It kind of put a bad taste in my mouth. I was ready to spend thousands on your web site. Now I'm not so sure.

The Spyderco Shaman is...
I am enjoying this Spyderco Shaman. For a larger knife it is still slim and carries great. Mine has the coated blade, so I am still breaking it in to get the feel I want for the pivot, but so far I have absolutely no complaints.
