First introduced in June of 2019, the Mako has been highly acclaimed for its unique aesthetic, refined balance point, and excellent value. The Mako Bottle Opener V5 is the perfect balance between flipping performance, durability, and utility. It features channel design handles machined from 6061 T6511 aircraft-grade aluminum and a trainer blade cut from hardened 410 stainless steel. The hardware at the bottom of the handles serves as removable weights. The dorsal fin on the back of the blade is a training aid to provide tactile feedback for when the user is holding the handles too low. The “edge” side of the trainer blade is represented by the protruding tooth which also provides tactile feedback when the user ricochets against the wrong side of the trainer blade.
The Inked Series Mako features a PVD DLC coated blade and matching blade hardware. DLC, known as Diamond-Like-Carbon, is an extremely thin and durable coating that protects your blade from wear and corrosion. It also provides the Mako with an incredible sleek look with its matching black hardware.
