Tactile Turn has been thinking about doing a Clip Action (internally referred to as the "Clip Actuated Bolt Action" or CABA) for a while but couldn't come up with a new or interesting way of doing it that was distinct from all the other pens out there. Then, some time in late 2025, they had the idea of a milled and bent titanium clip with a relief cut that keeps it just off the body to ensure good tension on both thin materials like dress shirts and thick materials like jeans. Matt and the team got to work creating the models which resulted in a 2-piece, dovetail-slotted carrier to secure the clip. The end result is a fidget-friendly mechanism that's a ton of fun to use and is a natural addition to their existing catalog. Made from titanium and offered in three finishes (Machined, Stonewashed, DLC) in both Standard and Short lengths, the Clip Action is their take on a simple yet elegant mechanism built to withstand a lifetime of use.
