The Zero Tolerance 0454 is the latest limited edition ZT folding knife that has every ZT fan drooling. The new ZT Knives 454 recently won 2013 Blade Show "Overall Knife of the Year" for it's killer innovation and craftsmanship by ZT & Belorussian knife maker Dmitry Sinkevich. The ZT 0454 is based off of Sinkevich's own custom designed knife called the "Cardinator". Perhaps the best part is the 3 part composite blade comprised of several steels which is a first in the knife industry. CPM D2 is used for the cutting edge and spine of the blade whileÌ´Ì_14C28N stainless steel is used in the middle. The laser cut steels give a jigsaw appearance with a permanent braze weld. The Zero Tolerance 0454 handle is made from 3D machined carbon fiber for strength and reduced weight at just 4 ounces. This light folding knife has a sub frame lock with titanium lockbar with steel insert for solid lockup. Assisted opening is brought to you via "flipper" that rotates on the KVT ball bearing system seen in other ZT models like the 0560, 0561, and 0801. Specs
