    Classic design with S30V...

Posted by Thomas Wilk on Jan 13th 2024

There isn't a lot that needs to be said about the design of this knife. The classic Buck 110 design is timeless. It's a durable knife, with some higher-grade steel than its older and less-expensive siblings. It's not quite as refined as higher-priced knives, but the fit and finish is generally good. The kind of knife that you would carry to the job site where you will likely use it, perhaps even use it kind of roughly. The G10 material keeps the weight down, while the S30V holds its edge. It's not really a one-hand opener (at least not for me) - the spring is way too tight for that. In fact, it wants to close vigorously if you get less than halfway opened so you'd have to watch your fingers anyway. But that isn't its purpose. For an all around useable knife that you can get dirty with, it's great.
