The Fenix WF30RE is an intrinsically safe flashlight certified by IECEx, ATEX and SGS. It can be used in Zone 0, Zone 1 and Zone 2 where there is potentially explosive gas, and Zone 20, Zone 21 and Zone 22 in combustible dust atmospheres. The WF30RE includes a battery specifically designed to withstand extreme conditions and powers this flashlight for up to 120 hours and a maximum 280 lumens. Temperature resistant and an IP68 waterproof and dustproof rating help make this flashlight the perfect tool for hazardous situations.

On/Off
Press and hold the switch for 0.5 seconds to turn on /off the light.

Output Selection
With the light turned on, single click the switch to cycle through Low→Med→High.

Strobe
When the light is switched on, press and hold the switch for 1.2 seconds to enter strobe. Single click the switch to turn back to the previously used output.

Intelligent Memory Circuit
The light memorizes the last selected output excluding strobe. When turned on again the previously used output will be recalled.

Battery Specifications
For your safety, use only Fenix ARB-L21-2600Ex rechargeable Li-ion battery.

Battery Replacement
Open the tail cap with an 8mm Allen wrench, insert the ARB-L21-2600Ex Li-ion battery with the electrode towards the light head, close and screw the tail cap.

Warning:

  1. Do not open when an explosive atmosphere is present.
  2. Do not charge the battery in hazardous location.
  3. For your safety, only use Fenix ARB-L21-2600Ex rechargeable Li-ion battery.

Charging

  1. Connect the charging protector to the adapter, then connect to a power source, the indicator of the charging protector will flash alternately in red and green, indicating that it is in the charging preparation state.
  2. Reveal the charging port of the light, plug the socket of the charging protector into the light’s, the indicator of the charging protector displays red while charging, and will turn to green when fully charged.
  3. Once charging is completed, be sure to close the anti-dust cover.

Warning:

  1. Do not charge the battery in hazardous location.
  2. When charging, use the included charging protector to protect the inner intrinsically-safe circuit.

Battery level indication
With the light switched off, single click the switch to check the battery status. The battery level indicator will display the battery status for 3 seconds.

  • Green light on: saturated 100% – 85%
  • Green light flashes: sufficient 85% – 50%
  • Red light on: poor 50% – 25%
  • Red light flashes: critical 25% – 1%

Low-voltage Warning
When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Low output is reached. When this happens in Low output, the light blinks 3 times every 10 minutes to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
  • Use only Fenix ARB-L21-2600Ex rechargeable Li-ion battery. If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the light could be damaged by electrolyte leakage.
  • The included battery needs to be charged when it is near depletion. Please immediately charge the battery when it is depleted without concern of affecting the Li-ion battery. It has no memory effect.
  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.

  • Do not open and replace battery when an explosive atmosphere is present.
  • Use only Fenix ARB-L21-2600Ex rechargeable Li-ion battery.
  • Do not charge the battery in hazardous location.
  • Only the special charger of this product (with charging protector) can charge the WF30RE flashlight.
  • Do not use in explosive atmospheres if the flashlight is with missing parts (especially for dust cap of charging socket) or the shell of it is obviously broken.
