New for 2017 is the first production release of the Microtech black OTF called the Cypher, a collaboration with Deryk Munroe previously only seen in the custom Marfione edition.

The Microtech Cypher 241-10 is a premium OTF automatic knife featuring a sleek Black handle, a single-edge (SE) blade, and a rugged Stonewash finish. Built around Microtech’s recognizable out-the-front design, this Cypher combines precision construction, premium M390 blade steel, and a streamlined profile that makes it an excellent addition to any serious knife collection.

The M390 stainless steel blade is valued for its excellent edge retention, corrosion resistance, and overall performance characteristics. Its single-edge configuration offers a clean, practical blade profile, while the Stonewash finish provides a subdued appearance with a textured look that complements the black handle.

The Cypher’s OTF automatic mechanism deploys and retracts the blade directly through the front of the handle using the integrated thumb actuator. This signature Microtech configuration gives the knife its distinctive OTF appearance and satisfying automatic action.
