Microtech UTX-85 II Stepside OD Green OTF Automatic Knife 3" Black Drop Point 231II-1ODS

First I want to say eknives is great! Fast shipping nice search features! Microtech utx-85 signature series is kinda iffy.. so the knife is made out of great materials the knife is sharp and blade seems durable. The reason I didn't give more stars is because I paid 350$ for this knife and the quality precision just doesn't do it for me. The belt clip catches the side of one of the steps in the design so I had to bend the clip a little to the side so that it would stop rubbing the edge of the design off. Second the blade mechanism catches midways it doesn't have a smooth slide across the track system. Third the button has excessive play that isn't present in a cheaper model that I bought my friend has a 30$ knife that has less button play and he's been using for years so I know this isn't an excuse for excellence. Fourth and last the blade has a blemish on the top where it looks like they either sealed over some of the black but this is a minor blemish still you wouldn't expect to see this in a "original otf best of class" knife. Honestly I'm new to the microtech scene but I have experience with high brand folders and fixed blades. These minor issues would never make it past quality control especially in a limited series model. I will probably send it back to microtech for service just because if you don't hold people accountable for quality then they will eventually become cheap.

It’s well in the hand works perfectly. And the shipping was in a timely manner actually quicker than I thought. Thought it was a little pricey..
