The EXO from Reate is a gravity OTF knife. By pinching the handle scales and dropping the frame at an angle, you can easily slide the blade in and out with nothing but gravity. If you haven't guessed it already, this means hours of quality fidgeting! That aside, the build and materials of this knife are Reate standard: simply excellent and endlessly functional. The EXO boasts flawless fit and finish, smooth action, and a razor edge to meet your cutting needs. It includes a kydex sheath and belt attachment so you can carry it without fear of being poked.

The EXO gravity knife comes in two different colors with two different blade shapes. Black, Brown or Green Micarta and Drop point, Tanto or Dagger.

    Intriguing and simple...

I've never seen anything like it but it's best described as a safety knife. At no point during deployment or contraction are the fingers in contact or in the path of the blade. It's brilliant yet simple. Very well constructed, sharp and comfortable in the hand. Comes with a holder to clip into a belt. There's no safety to prevent unintended deployment so carry in your pocket at your own risk however it settles horizontally in your pocket like every other pocket knife and hasn't been an issue for me. The scales are grippy and compliments the titanium frame beautifully. Rock solid and fun to play with!

    Not what...

purchased thinking it would be more solid. I think it's a fun design, fun to flip, reminiscent of a balisong. However, it has the blade play you'd expect of an auto OTF, not the rock solid immobile quality of a balisong. For that reason I was left unimpressed. Many will see this as a minor gripe. Fun to check out for sure if you are curious, and if you can overlook the blade play you can have an awesome opening mechanism, excellent materials, and great form factor knife to use and enjoy and show off.
