Best known as the steel used for ball bearings, 52100 was traditionally used only by bladesmiths who could hand forge it. Now available in flat stock suitable for factory production, this classic knifemaking steel provides exceptional wear resistance and edge holding qualities. As a non-stainless steel, however, it must be maintained properly to avoid corrosion.
The handle of this Exclusive knife features stunning peel-ply-textured solid carbon fiber scales. Sturdy stainless steel liners nested within CNC-machined scales ensure excellent structural strength, while keeping the knife slim and lightweight. They also provide excellent support for its patented Compression Lock® mechanism—a high-strength, extremely user-friendly lock that allows safe and easy one-handed operation. To ensure convenient carry and instant access, the handle includes a four-position clip that supports right or left-side, tip-up or tip-down carry.
