Hawk Knives are the brainchild of Father Son duo Grant and Gavin Hawk from Idaho City, Idaho. They started making knives have been making knives since 1995 in Idaho City, Idaho, an old gold mining camp of the mid 1800's, Father Grants profession for 20 years.. They started off making fixed blade knives for local hunters and then hit knife shows where innovation struck their curiosity. After attending the Oregon Knife Collectors Association Show in the mid 90's, Grant and Gavin were not only inspired to become full time knifemakers, they were steadfast in becoming better than the status quo. Enter the D.O.G folder, a now CRKT production model. After many designs, Hawk developed an revolutionary OTF automatic knife called the Deadlock. A double action automatic switchblade with absolutely no blade play.. a first in the OTF world. Now the Deadlock has become one of the most sought after and hard to get OTF knives in the world.
