The Varangian Cleaver is named after a select group of Norseman that were highly skilled at warfare.åÊ They were so elite in fact that were hired as mercenaries in other countries because of their 'operator status'. The Varangian features a .200 thick 154 stainless steel blade riding on a stainless pivot barrel in between bearings.åÊ The handle sides are are 6Al4V titanium as well as the clip.
